A New
Copernican
Moment

IN 1955, ALBERT EINSTEIN wrote a letter to the family of his best friend, Michele Besso, who had recently passed away. In that letter, Einstein made perhaps the most significant metaphysical statement since Copernicus determined that the Earth moves around the Sun. Einstein said that the world we perceive is a "stubbornly persistent illusion."

This book is a discussion of what he meant by that statement, and an effort to promote Einstein as the New Copernicus. If what he said is a scientific fact, then we truly live in a New Copernican Moment in history.

So, in the same manner that Dorothy discovered the truth about the Wizard of Oz, please join me on a journey over the rainbow. Let's peek behind the curtain of this world and discover what science says about reality. In doing so, I hope to show you that your life is truly meaningful, and not just an accident of a strictly materialistic reality.
